31DC2013 Day 23 - Inspired by a movie

So, my friends would not at all be surprised by my movie choice for this prompt; The Nightmare Before Christmas is just my favorite movie. It's hubby's favorite, too! We watch it all the time and not just around Christmas or Halloween.

Anyone who's familiar with the movie will recognize many, if not all, of these designs.

Thumb: Inspired by Sally's skin. She's a ragdoll with light blue skin that is sewn together patchwork-style.
Index Finger: Inspired by Barrel's costume. Barrel is one of the three evil little trick-or-treaters and he is dressed as a skeleton. This is the design on his shirt.
Middle finger: Inspired by Jack Skellington's suit. He wears a black suit with white pinstripes. To make the white pinstripes irregular, I actually started with the white first and did the black stripes over to.
Ring finger: Probably my favorite. In the scene where the Halloween characters are preparing the Christmas toys, they make a yellow wooden duck with bleeding bullet holes in it.
Pinky: Inspired by the mayor of Halloween Town. Instead of a necktie or bow tie, he wears a black widow spider!

Here are all of the colors I used:
  • Funky Fingers Cyclone Sky
  • OPI Planks a Lot
  • Julep Charlie
  • Sally Hansen Black Out
  • Sally Hansen White On
  • Art Club Red
