Born Pretty Review

It's another twofer post day and, just like last time, this second post is another Born Pretty product review.

*Disclaimer: I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

Of the Born Pretty nail art products that I've reviewed, so far, this one disappointed me the most. I'm not saying that I won't use these studs again; they just had some issues. They look great on the nail though.

Let's start with the design. The color is Julep Keiko. I used a wax pencil to pick up and place the studs on my nails and then sealed them with top coat.

The studs come in two colors (gold and silver) and two sizes (1.5mm and 2mm). They are flat-backed instead of hollow. I love this because I feel that the extra surface area makes them adhere to the nail better which makes them stay on longer. They're also just small enough for me so they don't get in the way.

Now, the product description lists the material as metal, but the one's I received aren't. They're plastic. Not a HUGE problem. I do prefer to reuse my studs, usually, but acetone takes the metal color right off of these so they can't be reused. Luckily, you get a few hundred of these little guys so throwing a few away here and there isn't a big deal.

The biggest issue I ran into is that quite a few of the studs are misshapen. I really had to sift through to find actual round studs to use for my design.

All-in-all, these aren't bad. I'll keep using the one's I have, for sure, because they look great on the nails.
