Born Pretty Review

It's review time! I've got another Born Pretty Store product for you guys and this one is quite different from anything I've ever reviewed before.

*This product was sent to me in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.

So, I tried out these dried, pressed flowers from bornprettystore.com. You can find them here. You get 12 acrylic containers, each with one of 12 "different styles of dried flowers." Unfortunately, I only got one style of flowers but in assorted colors. The photo above shows three of the colors I received. I believe I got 9 or 10 colors.

When I played around with these flowers, I decided to do something very simple. I went with a negative space type design; just some flowers on bare nails.

I chose red flowers for this design. I used clear nail polish to adhere them to my nails. They were quite fragile so I used nail scissors to gently cut them up. After I had them placed as I wanted them, I top coated them to keep them in place. Because of the stems, they didn't quite lay flat. To avoid them catching on anything, I used another thick coat of top coat. As you can see in the photo, they are not smooth, but it wasn't bad. Much like a textured polish.

I like the look of these quite a bit. I do think, however that these would work better with gel polish. I also would have loved to receive more of a variety of flowers to play with. But it is what it is. The colors I received are very pretty and I can see myself using them again.
